I came across an old Go-Bots book at a yard sale today, so I thought I would share it with you in it's entirety.
Yes, I have the unfortunate task of typing it all out, but I care, and so should you!

AstroCorp's Captain Matt Hunter and cadets Nick Burns and A.J. Foster hav een called before a commision of inquiry. They have to explain the loss of their ship, U.S. Space Shuttle Intrepid. Captain Hunter has an incredible tale to tell
"It's true sir. My ship was destroyed by aliens from outer space"

"And," Matt continues, "all of them can change their bodies into cars, or motorcycles, or..."

"Poppycock, gentlemen," shouts Professor Braxis, satellite expert and head of the commision of inquiry. "Not only is Captain Hunter reckless, he has a lot of nerve expecting us to believe such a ridiculous tale! I vote he be suspended from all duties."
The commission agrees. Matt and his friends are grounded until a full investigation takes place.
Although his story is difficult to believe, Matt Hunter is telling the truth. There are aliens on Earth - GoBots from the planet GoBotron. The Guardians are lawmen, the Renegades are criminals.

Leader-1 is head of the Guardians. His mission is to defeat the Renegades in this battle between good and evil.
Turbo is the strongest of the peace officers.
Scooter is the smallest. He is a computer whiz.

Crasher is a madwoman who loves destruction.
Cop-Tur believes in the old saying "Might makes right."

The Guardians are hiding aboard their Command Center.
"We need help, Scooter," Leader-1 says. "Turbo's circuits are badly damaged. Until we can get the materials for his repair, he'll be out of action."
The Renegades, aboard their spacecraft, Thruster, speed to meet their secret Earth contact.
"Patience, Crasher," Cy-Kill snarls. "Very soon we'll destroy the Guardians and take over the planet Earth. Right now, we have to meet our human ally."

Later, at Matt's cabin on the outskirts of town....
"I could have brained that old goat," A.J. snaps. " He made it sound as if we were seeing things."
"And I don't trust him for a minute," Nick replies
"I agree with you, Nick," Matt says, "But Braxis isn't our problem right now."
"We've got to find those aliens," Matt Continues. "If we don't, our careers will be ruined, and who knows what else."
Suddenly Nick shouts, "Holy cow!"

All three look up at the same time
"Look out!"
"Help!"
"Aliens!"
Within seconds, Leader-1 scoops up the three friends, changes into his sleek jet form, and flies with them into the night.

Before long, Leader-1 descends again.
"Here we are," the Guardian says. "Here is our Command Center. We have camouflaged it as a crane. I'll explain myself once we get inside."
"I'm Leader-1 of the GoBots. You must help Scooter and me repair Turbo."
Matt stops him. "Before we agree you must tell us where you're from and why you're here."

Leader-1 explains their urgent mission. They must prevent Renegade GoBots from taking over the Earth, and then GoBotron.
"Okay," Matt agrees. "Now that I know we're on the side of the good guys we'll give you all the help we can."

"I give you my word," Leader-1 promises. "Once you've helped us capture the Renegades, I'll go before your commission and clear your name."
"We can be a big help," A.J. says. "After all, we know this area better than you or Cy-Kill does."
"Wow," Nick says. "This is going to be some adventure."

As plans are made to get the parts needed to repair Turbo, a hasty meeting in taking place between the evil Renegades and their secret Earth ally.
"Let us begin," Braxis says with an evil grin. "I am fully prepared to help take over the planet."

The traitor offers his knowledge in exchange for control of the Earth. Once the Renegades have successfully overthrown Earth, they can use it as a base to conquer GoBotron.

Back in the Guardian Command Center, Nick offers to go with Scooter to the Operations Control warehouse. That's where the electronic parts for Turbo's repair are stored. In order to enter the enter the restricted area, Scooter reluctantly agrees to disguise himself by giving Nick a ride.

Though he's thrilled by Scooter's speed and agility, Nick concentrates on the importance of
his mission. Meanwhile, Scooter nervously keeps a lookout for Renegade forces.
After being cleared at the security gate, the pair begin their search.
"This will be a cinch," Nick says to the frightened GoBot. "Once I sign for the parts, we'll head back to the Command Center."

After getting the necessary equipment, Nick tries to reassure his timid companion. "It'll be a breeze from here on out."
"Good," Scooter responds happily. "Then we'll show those GoBads a thing or two."
"Nick," Scooter squeaks, "my sensors are picking up Renegade GoBots somewhere nearby."
"Let's check it out," Nick answers.

At that moment, Braxis and the Renegades are discussing the first step in their plan to conquer Earth.
"So," says Cy-Kill. "You say we can get this synthetic energy element, Sorium, on an island in the northern Pacific Ocean? Then we shall strike there first."

"Jeepers! That's Professor Braxis, " Nick whispers. "It looks like he's working with the Renegades! But I wonder where the others are."
Hearing a slight noise, they turn to face Crasher and Cop-Tur advancing on them.
"Crash, bash, and trash them," Cop-Tur yells viciously.

But quick-thinking Scooter uses his computer powers to create several holograms of Nick and himself. The attackers are confused.
Crasher snarls orders furiously. "Smash and bash them, you idiot!"
"Who? Where?" a dizzy Cop-Tur moans.
Cy-Kill bursts from the laboratory and sees the holograms. "It's a trick," he roars.
Meanwhile, the real Nick leaps on Scooter. They make a dash for safety.

"Do not follow," Cy-Kill commands his underlings. "We can't afford to reveal ourselves to other humans yet.
"But they overheard our plans," Cop-Tur protests.
"My way is better, " Cy-Kill snarls fiendishly. "When the Guardians reach the island, we'll be waiting for them."

Poor rattled Scooter speeds away- right past a parked patrol car. As it gives chase, Scooter takes off into the air like a rocket.
"I dare you to call this one into headquarters," the driver tells his companion.
"Not me," his partner responds.
PAGE 21 and 22
Back at the Command Center, Nick and Scooter tell their hair-raising adventures.
"I''m glad you are safe," Leader-1 says. "But it's too simple. Cy-Kill never lets outnumbered rivals escape.
"We were too slick for those Renegades," Scooter says

"I'm not so sure," Leader-1 says solemnly. "This smells like a trick to me, but we have no choice. We must follow them and put an end to this evil plot. These criminals must be brought to justice and this war must be ended. Are you with me?"
"We're with you," the others shout.
"Good," Leader-1 says, bending over the maps. "With your help, we'll capture them with ease. Then life will return to normal on Earth, and on GoBotron.
